MUM (International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia) is a distinguished forum for advances in research and technologies that drive innovation in mobile and multimedia systems, applications, and services. At MUM academics and practitioners gather to discuss challenges and achievements from diverse perspectives, in a comfortable and effective single track conference format.
The 8th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM 2009) is held in Cambridge, United Kingdom, from November 22 until November 25, 2009. It is organized by Microsoft Research, Nokia Research, and University of Cambridge, in cooperation with ACM SIGMOBILE.
The paper submission deadline was September 3, 2009. The selected full and short papers are now posted on the Program page. The poster and demo selection will be announced soon.
We invite proposals for industry demonstrations of novel prototypes and innovative products. The deadline for submitting demo descriptions is October 30, 2009. For more information see Call for Papers.

The conference will make provisions for student rates, daily rates, and 10% discount for IEEE and ACM members. Presenters of industry demos qualify for a discounted daily rate.
The conference venue is the Crowne Plaza Cambridge in the heart of the historical city of Cambridge, with easy access to the University colleges, hotels, restaurants and pubs, theatres, and public transportation.
